Join us December 2, 2019 for a night of celebration and contribution.
100 Women Who Care is growing; new members, more funds raised and an incredible level of meaningful work being delivered. Our mission to grow our impact in Ottawa is in full swing. We support local charities who are working hard to enhance quality of life for our friends and neighbours.
Our simple plan is proving successful. 100 women x 1 hour x $100 each x 4 times a year. It is a straight forward and fun way for women to create great impact together. Our charities have expressed inspiring words of gratitude for our contributions.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in September. We had so much fun! See some highlights here. We raised over $13,000 for three local charities! This increases our total to $200,000 in the last five and a half years. We are gearing up for our next event and wish to invite you to join us on December 2, 2019. Save the date!
In December, you have the chance to learn more about these presenting charities!
KIDS UPFRONT OTTAWA FOUNDATION We help deserving children and families in the National Capital Region by collecting donated event tickets and redistribute the opportunities to children and youth who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to attend. Recipients are children and youth affected by poverty, abuse, illness, and disability. We can alleviate their stresses and challenges by opening doors that let them safely explore their communities and gain new experiences.
OPTIONS BYTOWN We help people who face social isolation and other complex challenges – individuals who may have very low incomes, a history of homelessness or special needs that may relate to mental illness, HIV/AIDS or substance use. Options Bytown is a locally grown model of supportive housing that saves taxpayers money, improves tenants’ quality of life, and brings into stark focus the simple solution that’s needed to solve the complex problems of homelessness.
ST. JOE'S WOMEN'S CENTRE We offer a Day Program, that is dedicated to the needs of women, in a supportive and safe environment. Social and educational programs are offered to promote empowerment, autonomy, and dignity in a non-judgmental atmosphere. We provide a place . . .“Where there is a sense of belonging and self respect, there is hope.”
